Since we already mentioned earlier this month that September is Lymphoma Awareness Month, we inadvertently failed to mentioned that September is also Leukemia Awareness Month. Below are images of our Leukemia T-Shirts, apparel, stickers, buttons and more for Leukemia Awareness Month brought to you by Hope & Dreams Cancer Awareness Shop. Proceeds to be donated to Leukemia related charities. CLICK on each image below to view Leukemia Awareness T-Shirts. Thank you for your support.
Hope & Dreams Cancer Awareness T-Shirt Shop is inspired by our courageous sister who is a two-time Hodgkin's Lymphoma Survivor. Our family opened this t-shirt shop in partnership with cafepress to bring worldwide awareness to Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a rare cancer of the lymphatic system and to emphasize the color Violet to represent Hodgkin's Lymphoma in honor of CureHodgkin's mission. A few months later, we expanded our shop to include other cancer awareness t-shirt designs that are important and personal to us.
What is the color ribbon for Hodgkin's Lymphoma?
Violet or Lime Green?
Violet was chosen to be the color to represent Hodgkin's Lymphoma by the website CureHodgkin's and the Violet Ribbon Campaign in 2001. However, the color lime green also represents all lymphomas including both Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. There have been a few debates as to which color to wear to represent Hodgkin's Lymphoma, but the consensus is that both violet or lime green can represent Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It is a personal choice, although violet has become very popular with Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivors who prefer their own color be represented and to also respectfully honor the Violet Ribbon Campaign founded by the late Matthew Terry.
